Alt 0149 is not working. Is there another way to create bullet points in cells?

Hi @SJ Henderson,

You have to double-click into the cell before using the ALT + 0149. Then you hold the Alt key while clicking 0149, and then release the Alt key.

Not sure of any other way to create bullet points in SS.

Thanks Ray! I am not sure why, but it is simply just not working in my SS. I tried to find alternative ways to do this and also do not think there are any. Thanks anyway!

Just to confirm, you are double-clicking into the cell first. Right? You must see the cursor in order for this to work.

I had this same issue. I ended up opening the Windows Character Map and pasting the bullet into the cell and that worked.

Update: Alt + 7 also works. So it's either Alt + 7, or it's Alt + 0149. Both work.

For laptop users without an external keyboard:

Ctrl-windowskey-O

Click on options

Turn on numpad

Double click in cell

Hold left alt key

While holding the left alt key:

- Click num lock on virtual keyboard until it is off and then on

- Click on 7

Let go of left alt key

It would be nice if this feature were added to the tool bar. It would make note taking a lot easier!

I had the same problem until I read Ray's response.. you need to use the keys on the NumPad to the right of your keypad, not the number keys above your keyboard. I did the latter first and did not get a bullet, then I used the Alt + 7, using the 7 on the NumPad and it worked for me

Agree with KRichard, can bullets please just be added to the tool bar? Bulleted lists are a routinely used feature and needing to use keypad shortcuts is archaic, and missing features such as this makes it difficult to enroll stakeholders to SS usage.
