Why is parent row showing up in an automated notification?

I have set up a workflow to send a message (to a user specified in another column) when a particular column is set to the value, "Send". This is to happen when triggered.

The notification happens as expected and contains the custom list of columns I specified. However, the parent row is also included. I even tried adding a condition that would filter out the parent row, but that didn't help.

Any ideas as to why that parent row is included? And how can I get rid of it in my notification?

Thanks so much for your help!

What was the condition you used to filter it out? I would create a hidden column to indicate it is a parent row or just put an asterisk (*) on that primary field to filter that out as a condition.

I have a column in the sheet that indicates a row "category". When the parent row was showing up, I filtered on that category to see if I could get rid of it (since the parent row didn't have that cell filled in) and it was still there....didn't look any different.
