How do I remove the leading "$" of a Price column so I can then use SUM

Hi all,

I am a complete novice here. I have imported an XLS spreadsheet and one of the columns has "Sales Price (Converted)"

It has a leading "$" that I am trying to remove to sum the prices.

Can anyone help me with a formula to remove that leading "$" please?

The @row part has to be lowercase. Try to copy and paste my formula.

=SUBSTITUTE([Sales Price (converted)]@row, "$", "")

=SUBSTITUTE([Sales Price (converted)]@ROW,"$", "") - unfortunately returns an "#UNPARSEABLE" error.
