When a row is "approved", change status cell to "ready to work"

Hi,

This seems like a really basic question that I can't seem to solve:

When a row is "approved" (the check box is checked) I'd like the status of only that row to auto update from "reported" to "ready for work".

Nothing happens: that is the automation does not seem to run.

Now I've realized that the automation does run, but is seems slow. It seems to take a good 60 seconds to run. Is there a way to make the automation faster and run at the same speed as conditional formatting?
