Pie of pie chart in dashboard

Hi everyone ! first post here. Question for all- is it possible to create a "pie of pie" chart or "bar of bar" graph in smartsheet dashbaord? Or any other workaround/ for displaying this type of data.

@Joe Song Hey Joe, welcome to the community! You can't have it interactive like "click on this slice and the new pie shows up". But you could create two different pie charts and display both of those next to each other. But it's not going to have the same look as excel.

So in short, no. 😀

thanks Ryan! That sales percentage pie chart you shared as an example- is that possible in smartsheet dashboard? a guidance would be super helpful!

@Joe Song No, sorry. That was an excel example just to make sure we were on the same page. You'll need to create 2 pie charts on your dashboard in SS and just place them next to each other. You can check out this discussion for deep dive into Pie Charts, though.

ah yeah, figured. I guess excel is still in some ways superior to smartsheets :P

That sentiment is probably shared on some fronts around here, but I try and look at them as two different but similar tools. SS is more robust for many things(collab, automations, forms, etc.), but is missing some excel-like functionality for sure. I use a nail gun to drive nails, but I can't use it to pull nails (like a hammer can). 😁
