Automation Condition

I have a form that captures user feedback and sends a summary every Friday for the previous 7 days. I would like to add a condition that if no new feedback was submitted the summary indicates "No new responses were submitted this week"

@John Hamilton will a condition path meet your needs? condition of is blank, something along those lines, then you could have a different alert set for that path.

Good luck, also alternatively you could probably just click on otherwise and do the alert there

I found this in documentation which seems to explain why my Otherwise Condition doesn't send a message.

Automation does not send messages when the sheet is empty.

That makes sense, I didn't realize your sheet was empty. I thought you were looking at a created date, something along those lines. Like if created date is in the last 7 days send this message, otherwise send this message.

The sheet isn't truly empty, just no data was posted the prior week.

My expectation is nothing meets the Condition then the Otherwise condition runs. But, alas...

well in that case you would think the otherwise criteria would still fire off.. Smartsheet quirk I guess.
