#unparseable error when creating a symbol formula

Hi,

I am trying to create a formula to return a status symbol based on the date on a cell. Basically, I have a column called "Date PRF Received" and I want to put a formula in the next column to show a Red light if the date is prior to today's date and Green if the day is still in the future. I am using the formula:

=IF([Date PRF Received]@row < TODAY(), “Red”, “Green”)

But I get the following error message in the cell

Any ideas how to fix this?

Try something like this.

=IF([Date PRF Received]@row < TODAY(), "Red", "Green")

=IF([Date PRF Received]@row < TODAY(), "Red", "Green")

This works perfectly. I did not realized I was using the wrong " signs.

Yes, those can show up when you edit the formula in Word or similar.
