Contact column selection - bulk upload

Hi everyone,

Wanting to use the contact dropdown option in a column, is there a way to do a bulk upload to this so I don't have to select 100 contacts individually?

@Andrée Starå could you possibly give us some insight into this and potentially why this functionality still hasn't been improved in years?

Unless I'm missing something, the function to add contacts is "Select names individually" and repeat for every single name with every single sheet and column. If you have a staff of 100, that means easily clicking names 1000 times and beyond when a proper copy-paste system or "add all members of a group" would solve that in minutes. And then repeating when you make a new sheet or have new staff members which happens all the time.

Hard not to see how Smartsheet isn't ignoring the community when stuff like this is recommended over and over again and nothing. Core, crucial, basic functionality not improved but new extra-cost features are prioritized. I try to push my clients to adopt and Smartsheet but tedious roadblocks in basic functionality/lack of automation like this or lack of change makes that prohibitive.
