Name Displayed in Workspace vs. My Smartsheet Contacts

Hello

In my My Smartsheet contacts, I have everyone entered as their name and then their email address. But when I share a workspace for some of the folks (not all) it just shows their email address. So then when you assign them a task it just shows their email address but I want it to show their name. Do I have to delete them from the workspace and try re-adding them.

Hello,

The information in their personal profile (Account > Personal Settings) is what will be displayed under the collaborators section of the sharing form and in the contact list column when assigned to a task.

You could have them add their first and last name to their account by following the steps outlined here: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/796268-adjusting-personal-settings

System Admins can also edit the personal settings of the people found in the user management form (Account > User Management) on their behalf. More information on this can be found here: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/795920-manage-users-multi-user-plan#editoneuser
