Add RTF (rich text formatting) to Comments

When creating a project many times the comments are as much instructions, as comments. Just like this modal when creating community comments, add the ability to apply Rich Text Formatting; Bold, underline, bullets, and numbered lists. RTF functionality would be limited to manually entered items, not pasted items.

The business reason is that comments often used to relay instructions should be presented in a professional, and visually easy to understand manner, it improves the professionalism of the Smart Sheet tool.

For nice clean easy to read instruction for users, why not upload a PDF of same which they can print off if that helps guide them?

Sounds like a sensible was to get what you want in a professional format?

    Hope that helps

  • That is what I currently do, was hoping to avoid that, but thanks for the suggestion.

  • RTF would be nice. I would also/instead like to see support for Markdown.

Definitely a highly desirable feature. QA instructions added as a comment (or even in their own column) are kind of a hot mess without bullets, sub-bullets, etc. And actually adding a code block function would also be super helpful.

  • Hey Smartsheet, just wondering when this rich text featuer will be an option? Seems like a very basic response and wondering how it could take years to impliment something like this?
