Is there any way to add a widget that will pull up a spreadsheet, doc, etc. directly from a network drive or PC location rather than a URL or Smartsheet item?
I have used "browser options" in Excel to render a browser friendly version of chart or worksheet. There is navigation to open in excel. File is stored in SharePoint
Thanks!
Sorry Sheryl are you able to explain any further, I have the same issue and don't understand (want a simple link from a smartsheet dashboard to a local folder)
Hi Doug,
@Doug M
Not sure I follow!
Do you want to open the Dashboard from a local drive or have a local file linked to the Dashboard?
I hope that helps!
Have a fantastic week!

I am running into the same problem. I am wanting to link a network drive to smartsheet. For example this drive:
N:\
It is browsed from the file explorer in windows, and is located on an internal network server.
Is this possible?
Hi @Alex Hoekstra
I hope you're well and safe!
Unfortunately, it's not possible now, but it's an excellent idea!
Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.
Here's a possible workaround or workarounds
Would that work/help?
Be safe and have a fantastic weekend!

This is actually possible! I figured out a workaround today. It involves installing the “local explorer” plugin on Chrome, and setting up free webpages that redirect the URL to your sever path. One page for each path, but to me, it’s worth it! Even used SS to help batch write the HTML code to drop into the pages.
Seems somewhat safe since when I log out of my VPN, the option just errors out.

I'm receiving this message every time I try to open my sheets. I'm the only admin user. I have already performed proper troubleshooting, such as clearing the cache, logging in incognito, and logging out and back in, but the issue remains unresolved. It's been a few days, and I'm unable to track our projects and this…
I’ve created an automation that generates a document and forwards it to the individual specified in a cell. The line item also has several additional attachments associated with it. Is there a way to include those attachments with the generated document?
I have an automation set up that copies a row to another sheet each day. The automation itself works correctly, but the problem is that it copies the formulas rather than the values, which causes the formulas to break and return errors. How can I configure it to copy only the values instead of the formulas?
