Automated workflow (email alerts) stopped working
I have a number of automated workflows set up to send alert emails that are no longer working. They were previously working fine for days (and I tested them repeatedly), but they have all of a sudden stopped. I haven't changed the automation and the sheet is locked, so no one else could have either. Is anyone else experiencing this and can anyone advise on how to remedy this? Thanks!

Do you or someone else get them inside Smartsheet?
Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)

I am having the exact same issue myself around automations not working that were previously tested and working, but now do not work. Some automations are working within the same sheet and others of the same type are not working in other sheets. It's very odd behavior.

@Jennifer Bailor that is happening in mine, as well. I tested it on 6/18 and it was working, but now it no longer is. I reached out to Smartsheet support but haven't heard back yet.

Hi. just trying to follow the thread, because I am testing new automations and am having spotty success. What does the question "Did you get them inside of Smartsheet?" mean? What is "them"?

Them = The alerts/Notifications. You can get them in Smartsheet (the bell in the top right corner), but it depends on your personal settings.

No, I am not getting them in the bell notification area inside smartsheet or getting the email.

First, make sure that you have allowed yourself to receive notifications properly in your Personal Settings (circle/profile in the upper right corner) and secondly check the Permission setting for the Automations. (cog in the top right corner in the Automation overview)

@Andrée Starå , I have already done all of the proper trouble shooting Smartsheet sent me and it is still not working. I responded two days ago and still have not received word from them on a resolution.

@Jennifer Bailor do you also have a concurrent automation running that moves the rows to another sheet? That was ultimately what was happening with mine and the automation that moved the rows would move the row before the email could be triggered

@Dani L, There are several that aren't working on sheet. For example, one is a simple trigger notification within a sheet when a checkbox is checked.

Having the same issues with workflow automation email notifications not being sent. Please advise.

Hi Jennifer, what are the rules for your notification? Also what is the setting for your Automated Permissions in the sheet? If it is under restricted and your users are not shared to the sheet, they will not get the notifications. The setting needs to be Limited or Unrestricted depending on who is getting the alert.
