Automation just for one row
Hallo,
very beginner user and have a question I couldn't find an answer to in the community. I have set up a monthly to-do list with automation that is sending a reminder to a person outside of the company to provide a file. Trigger for the automation is reaching the "Due Date" with the condition "Done-Check" = unchecked.
So far so good. My understanding now is that this automation is being triggered for every unchecked "Done" box, not just to the line with this specific request. How do I apply this specific automation just to the line that refers to that to-do? I don't want that person receiving every morning a mail for all unchecked items in my list... :-)
Thanks for your support.
Cheers Stefan

Stefan,
You have a couple of options here. You can either create an "assigned to" contact column, and filter the automation to only send reminders for rows assigned to that person.
Alternately, you could use a unique identifier for that row (let's say, each project or task name is unique, or it has a code associated with it). You could then add a filter to send the automation only when that column has that specific identifier in it. This would cause the reminder to only go out for that one task.
Hope this helps!

Heather

To add to Heather's excellent advice/answer.
You could add a recurring reminder or update request to the specific row(s) instead.
More info.
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
