How do I send an attached document in a workflow?

Hi there,

My clients need to complete an intake form. Once the form is submitted, a workflow kicks in and sends an email to the client's email address. With this mail, I want to attach any document that can be sent with the mail from the workflow.

How do I get this setup correctly?

The simplest method would be to have an alert with a link to the file, but you could also use an Update Request (required for sending/including an attachment when the attachment isn't part of the trigger) to send the attachment to the latest submitter.

If you set the trigger based on adding the attachment, it can send those with an alert.

Hi Andree,

Thank you, all is well on this side.

I do not want an alert when an attachment is added.

I want an attachment to be e-mailed once a new entry has been made to the sheet via the forms.

Hi @Andrée Starå,

I tried to get the row attachment (png file) via an update request, but no file is attached to the mail.

Same if I send an alert mail no attachment and also no link also the field is attached.

Any idea what I`m doing wrong?
