Filter for Current User
Does anyone know the coding to create a filter or report for the current user? I have a report built for many users, I want them to be able to filter on their stuff without having to create a filter for each person.

Yes.
If you select is one of you can select Current User in the Values list.
Did that work?

Hi Leann,
Here you go.
View Assigned Tasks from Multiple Sheets
If you are tracking projects in multiple sheets and you want to find items assigned to you or someone else in all of them, you’ll use a report.
To create a report that displays all tasks assigned to you or to someone else:
- Click Menu (upper-right) > Create New (plus icon) > Create > Report.
- Name the report (for example, name the report “My Tasks”).
- In the Report Builder form, do the following:
- Under Where?, select the sheets that include the tasks that you want to find.
- Under Who?, click Assigned To (or select the name of the Contact List column that contains assignees), and then select the name of the person whose tasks you want to view.
- TIP: You can also select Current User which will display tasks assigned to the logged in user. This can be handy if you want to share a report that others can use to see tasks assigned to them.
Did that work?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

I was hoping this same feature would work for filters on a report but when the column is defined to "allow multiple contacts per cell" the filter returns zero results even though some rows contain the current user as one of the contacts in the cell. The only workaround I have found is to use the "contains" option instead of the "is one of", but this would then require the creation of multiple copies of the report with a different contact name in the filter so that the report only shows records related to that contact. It would be nice to have a single report that can be used dynamically by each user who is a "contact". Is there any way to accomplish that?

I hope you're well and safe!
Strange!
It should work.
Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic weekend!

Can someone advise why "current user" would not appear as a choice in "is one of" selection?

Make sure that the column is a contact type column.

Is there a way to create a report that filters by Current User? I was able to do it in my sheet but not in the Report of it.
-
I have an "Assigned To" column that is a contact list with 4 contacts and values restricted to those contacts. I'm trying to make an "active tickets" report that filters by Assigned To = Current User so I don't have to make a different report for everyone. When I go to create that filter, no matter what I choose - contains, is equal to, etc - the "Enter Value" box is always a text box and I can't select Current User. Am I doing something wrong?
