Printing Grouped Reports

Another vote to get this included. Exporting reports to a PDF is essentially useless at the moment for our workflow.

+1 Another vote to get this included. Not having grouping is impacting my delivery. It's preventing for existing within the Smartsheets ecosystem.

@Geoff Baker and @jferry5 Make sure you drop an Enhancement Request to Smartsheet.... however, it shouldn't be classified as an "Enhancement," it is basic functionality. This issue has been outstanding for way too long.

Without being able to export or print groups/summary lines, this is nothing but a spreadsheet "dump". Am I right? The point of collecting data is to extract useful information; every programmer knows this. With the insane prices we are paying for Smartsheets, we aren't feeling too smart about our decision to have this software at all. We are irritated that we've spent hours upon hours, designing, collecting, collaborating everything how we need it...only to find out we cannot extract it in an organized fashion ?? With all of these requests to implement this feature for MONTHS, it's unacceptable and shameful that this fundamental spreadsheet feature has not been added.

Same here, the more structured reports with grouping are useless unless you can export them and they look exactly the same. We can't deliver reporting to our client because of this limitation.

Submitted an enhancement request, but there are community threads on this topic going back to early last year and it still isn't on the roadmap.

Are you able to provide any commentary on this matter? This thread has now hit its 1 year anniversary and it's clear there is continuing frustration about the lack of printing options.

Are you able to advise if this "feature" is even being looked at by Smartsheet?

Hi @Richard Heath

I don't have an update for when or if this ability will be released. The best thing to do is to add your voice to this feature request by filling in the Product feedback form; it's really helpful for them to understand each of your use-cases.

In the meantime, you can print/export the data on a grouped and summarized Report if it's embedded as a Report Widget on a Dashboard, and you export the Dashboard instead. I hope that helps!

I guess that unless we bombard Smartsheet with feedback via the Smartsheet Product Feedback form, they will be in no hurry to change it. Hopefully, a few more users on this thread do the same.

The sooner this is fixed, the better.

I agree this is must-have functionality. I am currently exporting my reports to Excel and having to re-summarize them.
