How to deactivate Hyperlink in Automation alert?
Hello,
I want to use the alert/email format that usually comes if you select one of the first two options. However, I don't the link to be hyperlinked/clickable as I don't want to provide sheet access to the users. The message-only option alert is not helpful as it's all text.

Hi there -
If you're looking to include data from the sheet, you can use "Message only" and include the data by using curly brackets with column names. For example: Hi {Name}, a new meeting agenda submission was added on {Date}.
If you'd like the recipient to make changes via a request update form, the email will need to include a link to the sheet.
I hope that helps.

@maltaee Hi! Good to see you in the community! Unfortunately, I know of no way to disable the sheet linking. I've struggled with this sort of thing in the past.
I assume that you want to include certain information from the row in the message? If so, you option would be to format your own message and include the fields you want. Depending on how many fields you want to include it could take more or less time. Is that a compromise?
Example message to reference specific fields in the row that triggered the alert. Use the double curly braces syntax with the column name in between:
Task Name: {{Task Name}}
Assigned to: {{Assigned to}}
Status: {{Status}}

Thanks, Nicole.
I'm sending the message to exec sponsors, and the "message only" option doesn't look good, as even with curly bracelets to show the fields, it is still just rows of text with no format.

Good to see you here, Darren.
I would like the link option as the email body looks organized and well formatted. The "message only" format is not helpful. It's either we get the option to hide the link or have the "message only" option, in a better format.
Thanks,

@maltaee Haha, it looks like Nicole was responding at the same time as me!
What I've done in this situation is link to a report or Dynamic View that is formatted how you'd like. Does that help any?
In the "Message Only" option you can put a URL that will be clickable upon delivery. You can't make it look pretty, but at least you can include a link for them to click to a dashboard, report, or any other nicely formatted display.

This is how I want the email to look, but without the link. I know there is no option to hide it, deactivate or forward it to another SS item when you click on it. Can we change the sheet URL in this automation?

You can use this website to type in what you want format, copy, and paste the formatted results and you can use it.
