conditional formatting question

Hi,

I have a conditional format setup to look at a specific product line and GEO when it does not contain specific geo's then apply a grey format to 2 fields, so that people know that nothing is required in those fields.

The specific product line was not met and the GEO did include the 1 of the specific geo's.

Isn't the first field the primary requirement?

unfortunately the 2 fields did not go grey.

@Peggy Having a second condition in the formatting rule is an AND condition, meaning that both criteria must be true for the conditions to be met and the rule applied.

If you want to have the Product Line condition overrule the GEO condition, just make one rule for Product Line and a separate rule for GEO, and make sure the Product Line rule is above the GEO rule in the list of Conditional Formatting.

In my example below, only rows where both conditions are met get the formatting:

If I change that to have two rule with different conditions, resulting in the same formatting:

Hi Jeff, I deleted my rules and tried your approach, this did not work becasue we have other product lines that are within the GEO. I appeciate the input.

I will change the smartsheet and have the user manually enter in N/A when applicable.
