Sum Children If The Column to The Left is Not Blank

I am Trying to Sum Children Only if My Invoice Column is Blank. I Have Tried Several Variations of This Formula but to No Avail (UnParseable). Thanks for your Help in Advance.
=SUM(CHILDREN(NOT(ISBLANK(Invoice@row)

Try this: =SUMIF(Invoice:Invoice, <>"", [Column to Sum]:[Column to Sum])
Also, when writing formulas, be sure you that all parentheses are pairs (you can't have the opening one without the closing one and vice versa). In your formula, you have four opening parens but only one closing paren).
