Combine all row comments in one cell in same row?

I am needing to create a cell that has all of the comments for a particular row combined. We need to display more than just the latest comment. I understand that there is a 4000 character limit for a cell. It would be nice if it showed the latest 4000 characters or we can add a second row/ cell for overflow. I found a post that referenced a workflow using a second sheet but trying to stream line this for multiple sheets. Any help is appreciated.

The second sheet option is probably the best one. You could have all sheets copied to it as long as you have something unique we can use to collect the correct comments back to the correct sheet.

By something unique to connect the comment back to the correct sheet are you referring to the sheet name? For these sheets, that is the only unique identifier.

Yes, we could use that, but then you would need to add a so-called helper column. Another option, and the one I usually use, is to add an Auto-number column.

Would any of those options work?
