Turn Off Email Notifications For Sheet Access Request

How do you turn off email notifications when someone is requesting access to sheets?

I used to only receive email notifications for sheets that I am the owner of, but now I have been receiving emails for all sheets in Workspaces that I am a part of.

I feel like this changed this week, and I'm not sure why.

Was this a recent change? I thought the same. Only the owner got the requests.... many people on my team are complaining they are getting multiple requests for access for sheets they are not owners of. I heard about it today ...3/28/24. It is creating a lot of confusion.

They would like to know how to turn them off.

I appreciate knowing WHY this changed but what's the process to put it back the way it was? I need Sheet Owners to get the Access notification and everyone else (including Sheet Admins) to NOT get the Access notification. I looked a the new Admin Permissions link but don't understand how to adjust this.

I'm in the same boat and would love the ability to turn it off. Our executive team has Admin access to all of our workspaces so they don't get stopped when trying to access anything and now they're getting increasingly frustrated by the number of sharing requests coming through their inbox.

@Jessica313 @camalony sounds like we need to band together and submit multiple enhancement requests so smartsheet listens lol no need to clutter the execs inboxes and no need to have people who should not be approving access, approving access!

I'm also going to comment. My inbox is getting buried. I'd like to be able to turn this off workspace by workspace or even sheet by sheet. This is more annoying than I have words for.

Was a product enhancement request created for this issue? I'm getting inundated with emails from our users every time someone requests access!
