Smartsheet contacts - Deleting Contacts
Is there a master list somewhere where these are stored? I deleted contacts from my personal contacts list but some contacts are still appearing as selectable on my smartsheets. What am I missing?

Yes - since the contacts appear in that column already, they will appear as options to select.
If you want to restrict the dropdown choices, you can populate the Column Properties (the screen capture you have above) with specific options and then restrict it to list values only. Then only those contacts will appear when you go to add a new one to the cell!

Genevieve

Hello Reggie, just checking they haven't also been manually added to the contact dropdown in column properties or are shared to the sheet?

I removed them from being shared to the sheet. I'm not positive if they were manually added to the contact drop down but I do still see there names there. How do I remove them from the contact drop down?

Double-click on any of the Contact column names in your sheet. You should see a window pop up with a list of contacts that are "assigned" to that column, which means they'll appear in the dropdown options.
From here you can delete the contacts you no longer want to see.
If they're still appearing, they may be selected in a cell in your sheet. Use the Find function to see if they exist in your sheet or not.
Here's an article that has more information: Manage which contacts appear when you type in a cell
Cheers,
Genevieve

When I double-click the contact column, this is what I see and I don't actually see a list of contacts.

If you've removed these contacts from your Contacts and they're not in the column itself, are they selected anywhere in the grid of the sheet?

Actually yes, they are selected on rows that are hidden (closed tickets). So they will always appear because they are selected on those rows? No work around?
