As well as freezing columns we should also be able to freeze rows, this is a feature I would've liked time and time again.

I can't believe this is still not possible. I have over 126 columns, that I have a helper row that repeats the column name. I want the column names to be generic (so I don't have to change multiple names if columns need to move), and freeze the first row, so I know which column I am currently working on. This seems like it should be a pretty basic spreadsheet function. A little disappointed.

Would be really handy if you could have more options when locking a row.

I see this having multiple options which i'd like to see

Freeze the row - The row is frozen and will move as you scroll up and down your data.
Filter Lock - No matter how you set your filter this row will always show - ideal for headers or key data.
Sort lock - i can sort my data but this row will not move. ideal for total rows - Dont want to have to keep dragging it back to bottom of data and resetting the formula.

I think these 3 lock formats would add so much more to the user experience and i imagine should be fast and easy to implement.

Hi - I'm trying to get the top row to stay put when I do a sort. Assuming this is a "freeze top row" function, as I haven't found another. Thanks for considering!

I'm glad that my idea was merged with another, but I spent time looking for duplicate postings in advance and didn't find any. I only posted my question after I was still stuck. How do I find out what the answer to my question was? Could those who merge these postings leave a link to where it was merged so the poster can see the answer there? Appreciate your thoughts/suggestions - I'm new and learning.
