Automation if a certain criteria is not met
I am needing an auto email to be sent out once weekly if certain things are not filled into a column on one of my sheets.
There are a lot of different options for this column I need an email to go to certain people if any of the options on this dropdown are not populated that week.

Do an Automation where the cell IS blank.
Otherwise Just use the conditions. To filter the columns

Unfortunately that wont work am looking for something more if an option for a dropdown has not been used for the week that it sends a notification.
I think I will be needing to use the sheet summary formulas and helper columns.e.g. if I have Ben, George, Tim in a column if Ben hasnt been used for the week as a dropdown option but George and Tim have (could be multiple times they have been entered in) then an alert will send out that Ben hasnt been updated that week.

Hi,
I hope you're well and safe!
Yes, helper columns are the way to go.I recently developed something similar, where I checked if each employee had submitted a weekly review every week.
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic weekend!

Hi Andree,
Any chance you can share a short outline or column formula you used for this?
Cheers
