Filter events by date column based on the week.

I have an annual events spreadsheet where one of the columns is a drop-down menu with all the dates of the year, where we select all the dates of the event, which usually lasts more than 1 day. I need to filter the events that are happening in the week, that is, the events that will have data in this column in the next 7 days. Does anyone know how I can do this?

Is there a reason you are doing it this way as opposed to using something like a start and end date?

Yes. Some events have broken dates, not just start and end. For example, I have events that have 10 dates, but are not followed. They have a gap between them.

You will need to create separate helper columns for each date and then parse out the multi-select dropdown so that each date is in its own column. Then you can create a checkbox type helper column with a formula to check the box on any row that has at least one of the helper date columns in the next 7 days.
