How to attach PDF documents to email workflows?
Is it possible to send an attachment through an email workflow? I have created a "generate document" workflow. I now want Smartsheet to automatically send that document to contacts in the "assigned to" field in my sheet on a specified date.
Is this is possible, then any guidance on how to set up a work flow to is greatly appreciated. If it is not possible, then I'll figure out another solution.

The document would have to trigger the Alert to be included in it.

That does make sense, but I need step-by-step instructions on how to build the workflow - can you point to resources or where I'd find the instructions?
I've been trying to build it the workflow on my own through trial and error, but I can't figure it out...I might be missing something obvious.

To clarify, @Andrée Starå is referring to what action is taken to make the Workflow run. The actual trigger for the flow would need to be that an "Attachment is added", like so:
If the trigger has a different change (for example, if a status changes to "Complete"), then that change would need to occur at the same time as the attachment is added.

@Andrée Starå, @Genevieve P., I tried this solution for an alert and the attachment was still not included. What can the issue be?
It seems to work only for an update request. Does that make sense?
