Looking for guidance on dashboard content

I have a dashboard that contains a report and a form. The report contains selected fields from a table. The report shows all actions for a selected user. Actions can be open or closed. Once in the dashboard, the report is static and does not reflect actions that have been closed since the creation of the dashboard. I want the dashboard report (or some other object - filtered sheet? dynamic view?) to reflect only those actions that remain open.

I think this is easily accomplished but seek expertise in the best or most efficient way to do this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi @Rich G - Sounds like a good explanation (except for creation of the db). Have you tried just making a copy of the first report (using save as new) and adding a filter on action=open/closed to the report? I've used closed in the example. Off the mark?
