SUMIFS incorrect argument set

Hello, im trying to sum monthly revenue in a metrics sheet off of a source sheet based off of year, month, and concept. im getting incorrect argument set based off of the formula. does the logic below make sense? The Period and Year are a drop down list cell in the source sheet.

=SUMIFS({BBI - Monthly Billed}, {BC}, [Primary Column]@row, {Period - Source}, MONTH(@cell )=[Column2]3, {Source Year}, YEAR(@cell )=$[Primary Column]$1)

Try this:

=SUMIFS({BBI - Monthly Billed}, {BC}, [Primary Column]@row, {Period - Source}, MONTH([Column2]3), {Source Year}, YEAR($[Primary Column]$1)).

This is now giving me an answer of 0

=SUMIFS({BBI - Monthly Billed}, {BC}, [Primary Column]@row, {Period - Source}, MONTH([Column2]3), {Source Year}, YEAR($[Primary Column]$1))

The reference {BBI-Monthly Billed} is just one cell from my source sheet im referencing. not sure if thats the problem. However, if i were to select a range of cells or column it gives me an incorrectargument set error.

the below is the reference sheet. The year/Period filter is a drop down and i can filter out by year or month in the reference sheet. i was hoping to be able to show a monthly billed number based off of period/year in my metrics sheet above. im not sure else how to show billed by month all on one sheet.

That is the problem. Currently your SUMIFS formula is looking at just one cell to sum.

You will need to set up your sheet a little bit differently to get the information you are looking for. I can show you on a quick zoom, but it is hard for me to put into words to type. Or someone else can give it a go trying to explain what is needed.
