Column Formula
I wrote a formula but I can't select convert to column and I am not sure why any suggestions?
=IF(Shift@row = "Prime", [Hours Calculation]@row / 24, IF(Shift@row = "Single", [Hours Calculation]@row / 8, IF(Shift@row = "Double", [Hours Calculation]@row / 16, IF(Shift@row = "Stand-By", [Hours Calculation]@row / 1.42))))

The only way to update a dependency column automatically based on the results of a formula is through the API, the premium add-on Bridge, or some other similar third party app.

Hello @MichelleL
looked like your formula is correct. Make sure that you right click on the cell where you have the formula to be able to select the "Convert to Column Formula".
If this is not the case, do you encounter any error message?
You can check this article for reference on limitations as well:

I clicked the cell and convert to column stays grey so you can't select it.

Hi,
I hope you're well and safe!
In which column and what is the column type of the column you're trying to convert?
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic day!

column type is duration

Are you using the Dependencies feature? If yes, you can't use formulas in that column, which is probably why it doesn't work.
Make sense?

No, sorry can you explain that more?

I figured out that I am using a dependency. So is there another way to get the same info?

Unfortunately, there isn't, not without using a 3rd-party solution or the Smartsheet API or add-on, Bridge.
