Why doesn't the column filter work in "Get a sheet data (dynamic schema)"? [Power Automate]

Setup: Configure dynamic schema block to extract only one column:

Expected Behavior: The Power Automate Block returns an array of my rows with only the selected column values included.

Issue: All columns are included, notwithstanding the setting.

Here you can see at least 2 columns, but take my word for it that there are literally 158+ more of them listed there.

Is this setting supposed to work?

Also, for what it's worth, the name of this action in Power Automate makes no sense. "Get a sheet data" is right between the well formed ideas of "Get a sheet's data" and "Get data from a sheet," but it, instead, sits in the malformed position of singularizing "data" or referring to a sheet's data as "a sheet data" which, surely, should be a sheet datum, if the cells are just one thing, all together.

Finally, not having the ability to paginate results seems like a really unfortunate decision. It would be really nice if the connector in Smartsheet did what it claimed to do and did it with the requisite features to make something robust.

@Eric Helal it is probably more reliable to just do the custom HTTP post and configure your column returns that way.

That's probably true - which further explains why this should be fixed. The whole point of Power Automate is to avoid roll-your-own code blocks. If I wanted to write a server backend to manage interactions in Smartsheet I could but that's far less supportable by my org.

@Eric Helal this issue is fairly prevasive in all the middlewares that support Smartsheet. Part of it is the old documentation and that the dev community is small and hasn't had much focus until recently. I suspect that will start changing with the new ownership and the massive revamps they are making with developer experience / documentation.

I mostly do bridge based integrations but do Power automate, zapier, and full custom too. The grass isnt that much greener lol
