FORMS - where has the field name gone

Hi All,

I can see that forms on a smartsheet have a new look.

I'm in a panic as I cannot find the field name on an existing form.

I have the title, sub title (used to be description) etc. but no field name.

Please help and say I'm being stupid and you can see it ????? as I really hope it is there somewhere.

Hope you can help as I have a LOT of fields that all have different titles so trying to work out which is which would / will be a nightmaer

You need to click on the pencil in the top box where it says Field Type Dropdown List. In the dialog that opens you will see the underlying field properties.

Yes - I know - it was more helpful when you could see it on the main page without having to go into edit mode…

But at least it is accessible from that pencil.

@SueinSpain I had the same panic this morning.

Thank you @Debbie Sawyer . I probably would have found it eventually by accident but not until after I'd continued to panic another 15 or 20 more minutes.

I have raised a product improvement, although I feel it is a bug, and also a support ticket as with 40+ fields in a form if I have to do this to every one to find the field I need to amend - I won't be responsible for my mood😎

A quick way to see the field (I've been experimenting) is to Highlight the Title text, Press CTRLX to cut it to the clipboard, the associated box (control) in the main screen will then revert to the field name, once noted, you can CTRLV to paste title back in…

This is quicker…
