Using Lookup Function

Hi,
I am a new user to Smart Sheet. I am trying to use the lookup function for a value in another Smart Sheet. I want to search for the name in the current Smart Sheet over in another Smart Sheet and when a match is found, get the value in Column 6.
I have searched the help section but can't find an example of the lookup function where it is searching for a value in another Smart Sheet.
Any help is much appreciated.

Smartsheets is currently unable to use lookup between Smartsheets. Lookup only works within the same sheet. You could add your data to hidden rows in your current sheet and use the lookup within the same sheet. This is a popular request and I recommend submitting a product enhancement request for this feature.
