Three people view my project on their smartphones. However, one person is still showing the summary task bar on the calendar view even after I have checked the appropriate box. What would make this to apply to one iPhone and and not another?

Have them completely quit the app (double-tap the home button and swipe up on the Smartsheet app window) to see if it will refresh that way.
You typically don't have to quit the app completely to get it to refresh, but it's worth a shot in this case.
If you still experience the issue, contact our Support team to troubleshoot with them further.
