I was wondering if there is a feature for Archiving? And if so can we archive and them bring them back to the workspace at any time?
Thank you!
Hi,
I'm assuming you're referring to projects provisioned via Smartsheet Control Center? If so, no there is no easy way. Smartsheet are working on an archiving solution, but it doesn't help you in the meanwhile.
I've Created an Archive workspace and have been dragging folders in there. But it breaks the Control Center view of the portfolio and is messy.
It's just another reason why SCC should not have been released in it's current guise as it's a half-baked product. The pricing has been increased too, so our renewal will cost us an extra 33% for no perceivable value. The product is mostly the same as it was when we signed up and still has the same shortfalls.
Thanks Chris for your response and sharing your way for archiving projects. And yes that does sound messy. We are trying to stay away from messy ourselves.
Do you by chance know anything about how their "Back-up" system works? It is true Smartsheet has a back up for the "sheets, but not for the Dashboards?"
I curious where those files go when backed up.
Hi Tkaraly123,
The backup function just exports the selected sheets to Excel format, and you get an email link to a zip folder that you can download. I believe the link expires after 7 days, so you need to download the zip folder and store the contents somewhere. You can re-import the files into Smartsheet at a later date if you need to, but things like comments and dependencies will be missing.
I'm receiving this message every time I try to open my sheets. I'm the only admin user. I have already performed proper troubleshooting, such as clearing the cache, logging in incognito, and logging out and back in, but the issue remains unresolved. It's been a few days, and I'm unable to track our projects and this…
I’ve created an automation that generates a document and forwards it to the individual specified in a cell. The line item also has several additional attachments associated with it. Is there a way to include those attachments with the generated document?
I have an automation set up that copies a row to another sheet each day. The automation itself works correctly, but the problem is that it copies the formulas rather than the values, which causes the formulas to break and return errors. How can I configure it to copy only the values instead of the formulas?
