Dependencies - with time between items

This is the senario:

Line 1:

Start date January 1st.

Duration 5 days

Line 2:

Start date January 15th.

Duration 5 days.

I want the two lines to be dependent so that line 2 can't start before line 1 is done.

However, Line 2 should not start before the 15th.

My problem is that if I create a dependency, the startdate of line 2 will automatically change to January 6th.

Try a Start to start dependency with a 10 ed lag

But I don't want the lag to be fixed to i.e. 10 days.

Even if the first event is delayed, it is not a problem until we pass the start date of event 2.

    Example.

Line 1: Prepare Powerpoint for a meeting

Line 2: Meeting at a fixed date. (People invited).

A delay in Line 1 is not a problem, until the end date will pass the start date of Line 2.

You need a second dependency.  Make a milestone on 10th January and make Line 2 a successor to the milestone as well as line 1.

When the milestone date passes, Line 2 can start.  If Line 1 is delayed and doesn't end until after 10th January, it will become the driver of line 2.
