Imaginary Row numbers or post level of web forms
Would it be possible to add negative rows that are out of scope of the top of the smartsheet? Being able to reference formulas out of the top of the smartsheet would be useful for formula creation and maintenance when information is being added,changed, and calculated via web form. (could also be done by allowing a declaration of the level for posting when editing a Web Form, I don't know which would be easier.)
I don't trust posting at the bottom because I can never seem to control where it posts. Even when I attempt to delete or clear rows it still ends up posting at the bottom of the page. So I suppose that could be a solution as well, however it seems like the optimal, and most professional solution is to add web form posting starting at a specific row.

Good question. One thing you could do is put something in a column that isn't being flagged in the report, and then in your report settings tell it to not include items with whatever you put in that column. For instance, we have template stuff in the top of our sheets and I put in a date column the word: "template" and then I set the report settings for WHEN to "not include items that contain "template". This prevents it from entering my report. Even though I used the date column, you could essentially use any column type to do that.

That could work if you aren't doing any math. However as you can't use any formulas in a report, using one would take away the vast majority of options available.

Actually, formulas work in a report, you just can't overwrite data in a cell that contains formulas from within the report. So if you were wanting to manually enter data in a cell that contained a formula, you couldn't but you could easily jump back to the main sheet from the report and manually adjust the data. Formulas do come through in a report, however. I have created a multitude of reports with data that is being generated by formulas, for reporting sake.
