Interactive Room Map

Hi all

i have a room full of storage freezers. Within each freezer there are 4 shelves of four stainless steel containers. Each container contains 32 positions and each position is a project.

is it possible to start with an interactive “map” of the room, where I can click on any freezer, select a shelf then a container and drill down to whatever project from there?

Conversely could i type type in a search for a project and the Smartsheet would tell me its corresponding freezer/shelf/position??

I am not sure about an actual MAP of the room, but you could list your freezers as parent rows, shelves as children of the freezers, and containers as children of the shelves. Each of the container rows could have a hyperlink to the corresponding project.

So on and so forth...

Following on from the Master sheet set up with hierachy as explained in the last reply - You could then set up a Dashboard with Shortcut Widgets laid out in a Room / Freezer like format?

You could Label the Freezers and use reports shortcut and project sheet shortcuts to link the the appropriate files.

This would be visual to a degree...

also on the dashboard you could use metric widgets to show the position of certain projects containers which are returning lookup funcitons from your main Datasheet.
