When I build a sheet from a template, can I keep the reminders active on the new sheet?
I have a template that has reminders to run on each row. I would like to be able to create a sheet from the template (save as) and ensure that the reminders are active on the new sheet. Can this be done?

Hi Graham - reminders are set up for specific users, rows, and sheets and there is not a way to include them when coping a sheet. If you want users to get reminders on copied sheets, they will need to be set up through the Alerts tab after creating the copy.

On another thread from 2015 a colleague of yours said this functionality was being shared with your enhacement team -- any update on that? Two years later multiple people are still looking for this. In my specific case, instead of templates (too inefficient for us) we have "master" sheets that we "save as new" to create new sheets every week and setting up the exact same reminders on the exact same rows every time we "save as new" is a waste of time, so we don't use reminders at all.

Hi Erin,
Our developers were making a big push to deliver the more advanced notifications system that we just released. Now they're looking at expanding it even further and the ability to retain alerts when you save a copy of a sheet is being developed. I don't have a specific timeframe for when we'd see this in the application but it's definitely on our plate.

I would also like to see the Notifications being translated from template to new sheets. Thanks. +1
we understand that alerts are defined for specific users. But, some general alerts defined for "All" users OR for "Assigned to" users, can be trasnslated.
