Ability to format text:
The same functionality available when logging an idea in this post.
Format text (e.g. Bold, bullets, automatic numbering) in conversation and in partial area within a cell.
The ability to create a much richer experience for row comments (eg. text formatting; sections; to do's, etc..) would be a quick win that would dramatically improve the overall experience for this [almost] great tool!
I think the HTML text editor type capabilities for Conversations Comments would be a great improvement. I could really make good, practical use of it now for what I am working on. Thank you.
While implementing the transition from Monday.com to Smartsheet for several of my company's teams, the lack of formatted text options in the comments section is one of our top complaints amongst users. It is something so basic to have already and so common, that it is rather surprising to know it is not yet developed in an Enterprise level PMO / Project Management system.
Perhaps use HTML with a WYSIWYG editor toolbar. It doesn't have to be Microsoft's RTF. I believe when people are asking for Rich Text in this suggestion, they are using that terminology generically. So, anything to enhance the formatting to allow bold, italic, bullets, etc. will work.
Therefore, I'm adding to the conversation in hopes you understand our needs for managing projects and providing easier to absorb communication within the tool sooner than later. After all - we're not in the 1990s any more folks. Dive in and get some competition parity ASAP here please. 😁

This seems like a simple update that would be highly impactful for Smartsheet's competitive advantage against similar software. When tasking someone with something, being able to provide clear communication about what you're requesting is key. Formatting with bulleted lists, numbered lists, bolding, etc. helps immensely with communication. Because :
