Would love to see a single row timeline that provides a condensed view for senior leadership. This is one capability that is asked for a lot, but currently is not available.
We are an EAP Member. How do I access this?
Hi @Pedro Robles !
Are you wondering if and how you can have access to Timeline View in general via the EAP program?
Erin Greunke, Sr. Program Manager, EAP
Correct.
Single row timeline is important. Are there any updates for Prod release of this feature?
The new Timeline View is now released! Here is the announcement post about the new view:
Looking at the new Timeline View that has been positioned as meeting this requirement, how do you condense it into a single line, or use the highest row available? I am just seeing a slightly prettier Gantt chart view that doesn't solve this need at all.
Hello, I think I am missing something. Has there actually been an upgrade to the timeline view?
Hello - I would really like to use the timeline feature, but it is just not all that helpful. In my sheets, I have a column of drop downs for "Department" that lists 12 different departments. If I want to use the timeline view and show tasks grouped by department, it always uses all 12 departments as swim lanes, even though I have applied a filter to only show specific departments. This really reduces the useability of the timeline.
We are also seeing some limitations with filters and using the timeline. Will be interesting to see the improvements to this feature over time.
New Timeline view is a move in the right direction!
It would be good to have an option to show multiple tasks in one line to save space. Below are an example.
It would be nice to have the option of either stacking or having a more Gantt-like view with one item per row depending on the needs of the report and the audience. Also being able to toggle on/off the dependencies would be very beneficial. Thanks for your consideration!
