eMail not being correctly recognized in Contact field, creating a problem in FIND formula

I have build a email validation in my sheet where entered emails from a form are entered in a contact field. another field verify the address and validades using the following formula:

=IF(FIND("@xxxxxxx.com", [Student eMail]@row) = 0, 0, 1)

if the checkbox is triggered (=0), then the registration is valid, and the the sheet will check other variables. If the checkbox is not triggered (<> 0) then there is an error and the registration is not validated.

Lately, there is an inconsistency: I received several registrations from the same domain. Some of them are accepted (checkbox = 0) some of them are not… but the domain is the same.

any idea???

The FIND function is case sensitive. Make sure the case is consistent using a LOWER function like so:

=IF(FIND(LOWER("@xxxxxxx.com"), LOWER([Student eMail]@row)) > 0, 1)

Also make sure they are not using something like ".org" instead of ".com" or some slight typo somewhere.
