Can calendar view default to current month when a sheet is opened?

It seems there'd be a way to do this but I haven't figured it out if there is. I have a calendar that displays important dates from linked cells in another sheet. I set it to default to the calendar view but every time it opens it displays June 2017 even though it's currently April 2018! I'm guessing it's drawing from the earliest entries but this seems backwards. The calendar is for key leaders to get a quick view of what's coming. It's not quick when they have to click through nearly 12 months to get to the current date. Please advise and thanks for any help!

Maybe you could create a report of it and then set the date range to show future dates or similar.

Hi shanmcgin,

The calendar draws it's timelines in the same manner as the project Gantt.

To get your calendar to show the current month:

switch to Gantt view using the menu in the toolbar
click on the Project Settings gear wheel in the top right
choose Timeline Display on the left side of the pop-up
check the Open to today's date option
click OK then return to the Calendar view

I am currently setting up an automation for people to get notified through their email, when they are prompted. But is there a way that they can reply in the email of a comment that will then go to the specific sheet. This way they do not have access to the sheet, but can just comment through email with updates?
New Dashboards
