Hi
is it possible to send an automatic update request every 2 weeks without changing anything in the sheet to a contact in a column?
Many thanks
Peter
Hi Peter,
Yes, probably but I'll need some more details. Can you describe in more detail what you want to do?
I hope this helps you!

It's simple
i have a todo list (screenshot). The task is delegated to someone -> contact in "delegiert an". Now smartsheet should send an update request ever 2 weeks to the contacts in "delegiert an". These guys have to update the "erledigt zu", add a comment, upload a file or request with no changes.
many thanks
Ok. That's what I thought.
Look here
Update request every two weeks

not exactly. With this way i must make an update request in each row and i have to set the contact manually. I want smartsheet to do this without interaction and send the update request to the contact in the "delegiert an" column. This contact may change or there will be more than one contact.
Ok. As a workaround, you could set up an Alert & Action > Update Request that sends on a date in a specific cell, and for each row, on the sheet, you link that data from the top date (first date) that you update every two weeks.
Would that work?
correct ... but i have to update the date every two weeks manually or is there an other way ... My intention is to make no manual entry.
It could probably be automated thru Zapier or a similar service. You could also have an Update Request for the first date go to you, and you could update it that way. Almost what you want
If you don't require an update but just FYI to someone, you can can use (while inside the sheet: File-send as attachment:
Happy to help!
Have a fantastic week!
Anyway we can make this view only for security purposes? We would like to prevent users from sending responses to other users by accident.
I am currently setting up an automation for people to get notified through their email, when they are prompted. But is there a way that they can reply in the email of a comment that will then go to the specific sheet. This way they do not have access to the sheet, but can just comment through email with updates?
Is there a way to revert to the old dashboard look and feel. The new dashboards do not look good at all. There is no way of knowing if there are additional items in the widgets until you scroll over one to learn there is more to it since the vertical bar doesn't show. We have hundreds of dashboards and they will all need…
