Was able to connect to smartsheet from excel using the live data connector. The SM table exists as a read only table on a tab in the sheet and I can use index/match to pull values out of the table. This lets me keep one data file in smartsheet and use it across multiple excel sheets (stored on box.com). Used an API token for the saved password so that the excel table refreshes with any changes to the smartsheet on opening.
