I'm looking for a way to present attachments when placing a report widget on a dashboard. It looks as if this column is not presented although it is on the source report. Anyone with a suggestion on how to do that?
Hi,
Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment, but it's a great idea!
Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.
As a workaround, you could use the web content widget feature to embed the sheet and that will show the attachment column.

Would that work?
Have a fantastic weekend!

Just yesterday someone approached me about accessing row comments and attachments through a report that was on a dashboard.
Initially I used a web content widget, but they didn't like the looks of that. I ended up just making the interaction with the report widget take you to the source report. From there they had access to the row comments and attachments.
I do the same as Paul. It's the only workaround I could come up with.
1) Most team members are fine clicking through to the source to access the attachments.
2) One team member is totally confused when he mouses over a report without any specific goal in mind. Then he clicks on it and is lost.
3) A few team members can't remember that they have to click on the report to access the attachments. They just email everyone that there are no attachments.
Thanks everyone for the comments.
From what I see, I can only use a web content widget if the sheet (or the report) is published and I can't publish them (company regulations...). Please let me know if I got it wrong.
I am well aware of the ability to set the interaction, but I need most of the users to access the dashboard only as its a subset of the data on the source sheet intentionally.
I'll aim to submit the enhancement request soon.
You are correct that a sheet has to be published to be used in a URL widget.
Is this feature available?
I am looking for the same thing but instead of an attachment, to have the little comment icon to display in the widget preview on the dashboard for specific rows that has any comments.

Hi Ops,
In a report or a sheet?
I hope that helps!
Have a fantastic week!

@Andrée Starå I am able to see it on the report sheet, but not showing on the dashboard widget.
If you add it to the Dashboard through the Web Content Widget instead it will work.
Did that work?
No it doesnt.
Strange!
It should! It's working for me.
Can you maybe share some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)
Okay, It's been five years since the first enhancement request, is there any solution for this problem, I am still facing issues with the attachments that are available in the Source report file but not visible in the Dashboard?
Anyway we can make this view only for security purposes? We would like to prevent users from sending responses to other users by accident.
I am currently setting up an automation for people to get notified through their email, when they are prompted. But is there a way that they can reply in the email of a comment that will then go to the specific sheet. This way they do not have access to the sheet, but can just comment through email with updates?
Is there a way to revert to the old dashboard look and feel. The new dashboards do not look good at all. There is no way of knowing if there are additional items in the widgets until you scroll over one to learn there is more to it since the vertical bar doesn't show. We have hundreds of dashboards and they will all need…
