The send row function is no longer working for a user I share a sheet with. The function is grayed out. and returns a message to upgrade to a paid level. I'm on a licensed business plan. It has been working for month, until today.
Hi Steven,
Smartsheet made changes to what's possible on a free account recently.
I'll get back to the post with the information on what isn't included anymore.
Hope that helps!
Have a fantastic week!

I don't see anything about send row so not sure why it's not working.
Move row is not working for us, since yesterday, nothing showing on status.smartsheet
Doesn't it work for those with a paid license either?
We have a paid license,
We are using the API for move row which is not working, but we do have a paid license
Ok.
If you haven’t already, I would recommend that you reach out to the Smartsheet Support Team. Smartsheet Support Team
Thanks, yes we have a few times but no response yet, rather frustrating
I'll get back to the post if I hear anything.
I called customer support today. This is part of the Sept 19 changes for unlicensed users. The rep I spoke to did not know why it was left out of the announcement email. But he did send me a list of the new changes and the removal of send row for free users was on it.
We are implementing a work around using a contact list column and a workflow that emails rows based on input there. But it's really no the same.
What a hassle. This makes me very unhappy. I have two staff who currently cannot perform an important part of their job duties without this functionality.
That explains it!
Thanks for sharing!
Marie,
We've implemented a workaround that may help. Add a contact list "Send to" to your sheets. Then build a workflow that sends an alert to whoever is in that cell when "Send to" changes to "Anything". It is imperfect because Smartsheet can only send to users on your account this way. So, if you have any external contacts you'd like to send lines to, they will need to be added as a free user.

This is a disappointment that the feature was removed from unlicensed users but NOT mentioned in that email that was sent out.
My team uses this function, Send Update Request, and view cell history (that was added back after I assume much complaint). I suspect that had this been included on that email many users could and would have voiced the value in having these features available to the masses.
Any chance to get enough support to have these added back, like the view cell history?
Thanks,Karen
I am currently setting up an automation for people to get notified through their email, when they are prompted. But is there a way that they can reply in the email of a comment that will then go to the specific sheet. This way they do not have access to the sheet, but can just comment through email with updates?
Is there a way to revert to the old dashboard look and feel. The new dashboards do not look good at all. There is no way of knowing if there are additional items in the widgets until you scroll over one to learn there is more to it since the vertical bar doesn't show. We have hundreds of dashboards and they will all need…
When i try to send or print the timeline view instead of showing the progression bars like they do on the screen it only send the data entered and not a graph type view to print. Is there a way to do this. I am using a mac platform if that helps.
