Please tell me there's a way to have contractors (need access to a published sheet outside of our organization) have the ability to use the conversation feature, but with no other edit rights.
Hi Tyler,
Do they need to only view or reply/add comments as well?

Hope that helps!
Have a fantastic day!

They need to reply/add comments as well, but with no other edit permissions.
I believe you can achieve this by using the Update Request automation workflow.
That's a tricky one!
I don't think it's possible! We could maybe use an Update Request workflow as Debbie also suggested below, but then you would have to lock all other columns except for the one triggering the Update Request.
I'll get back to the post if I come to think about a solution.
Andree, you are right in that some of the columns would need to be locked but only the ones that you think the end user would need in the update request that you don't want them to be able to edit; just leave the columns that you do want them to edit as unlocked and this will be fine.
Locking the columns will effect anyone shared as Editor - but if the only other people using the sheet are licensed users then you can share to them with Admin and they can then update the locked columns while they are still locked.
This approach really depends on how many collaborators you have and how many need editor rights to all columns or just editing rights to one or two.
Good luck!
I am currently setting up an automation for people to get notified through their email, when they are prompted. But is there a way that they can reply in the email of a comment that will then go to the specific sheet. This way they do not have access to the sheet, but can just comment through email with updates?
Is there a way to revert to the old dashboard look and feel. The new dashboards do not look good at all. There is no way of knowing if there are additional items in the widgets until you scroll over one to learn there is more to it since the vertical bar doesn't show. We have hundreds of dashboards and they will all need…
When i try to send or print the timeline view instead of showing the progression bars like they do on the screen it only send the data entered and not a graph type view to print. Is there a way to do this. I am using a mac platform if that helps.
