Re: 🚨 [Feedback Requested] Would commenting directly on Dashboards help your team? 🚨
Hi Vatsal,
I hope you're well and safe!
Here's my feedback!
1️⃣ I would love to have the ability to have conversations in Dashboards, but I don't see a use case for it on a widget level. With that said, I think it could be excellent to have other options. (see below)
2️⃣ I love the idea of being able to annotate. I think it would be fantastic to have the proofing features (Comment with pin/area/arrow/emoji) in conversations in Dashboards, and, come to think of it, it would be amazing to have them in Sheets and similar too (Being able to comment and selecting a column/cell/area, and more). I would love it for when I develop client solutions, but more importantly, I know that my clients would love it too.
3️⃣ I also love the idea of having approvals in the Dashboards, and I think it would make sense to use the same Proofing structure as mentioned above.
4️⃣ I agree with others that being able to filter and send are the most requested features, together with being able to "Jump" to different sections that I've heard from my clients and the community.
🔢 My suggested prioritization would be. (In this order because of the work efforts)
1️⃣ Jump
2️⃣ Send
3️⃣ Conversations
4️⃣ Annotations/Proofing
5️⃣ Filters
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic day!
Best,

I have a help ticket open and have been able to send screen recordings of the sheet behavior. Hopefully an answer will come soon.
Thanks for the support
Re: 🚨 [Feedback Requested] Would commenting directly on Dashboards help your team? 🚨
I just got to know we dont have a way to send individual replies to comments so let me start from the latest one and make my way to the top -
@meagans Great to hear. Can you expand a bit more on the Approval use case? How would you ideally utilize it on a Dashboard?
@Andrée Starå thank you for the great feedback. Both Filters and ability to send Snapshots of a Dashboard are already in flight and you should see these functionalities on a Dashboard very soon :)
@Paul Newcome that makes sense. We can definitely think about giving controls to Admins to turn on and turn off commenting at a Dashboard level as well as Widget level. I am trying to understand if there's even a need for Approval mechanism or just a Dashboard level Comment from a Senior Leader that says "Approved" would do the job? Also, Filters are already in-flight :)
@Griff D thank you, that was insightful
@Protonsponge Ooo great call out. Added a user story for Mobile Support.
@Kelly Drake thank you for the feedback. Both Filters and Snapshots are already in-flight :)
@Almonto1 so you're saying you want your Dashboard to be broadly shared but only want to give the ability to Comment to a few specific individuals or users?
@Isis Taylor Fair point. Added a user story for the same. Thanks! :)
@melissa.garcia amazing feedback. Thank you for highlighting your use case in such depth. I've added user stories based on your suggestions.
@Paula Grahame Oh hey Paula!! Can you help me understand your use case better? If we have Dashboard and Widget level commenting, do you still feel the need for a Sticky Notes widget? You can still make notes as Comments and assign them to people. Why do you think only a Sticky Note feature will help solve for your use case?
@Ray Lindstrom Great to know. Can you highlight a few use cases where this feature would benefit you and your team please?
@Monique Odom-Stearn thats very reassuring to hear. Thanks!
@AdamSYNH great to hear. Thanks for highlighting the use case!
@Antoine B very interesting concept. Can you expand a bit more please?
@Sing C very much appreciate the detailed feedback. Thank you for taking the time!

Re: Smartsheet - Down to the Basics Cheat Sheet
@juliesusannee, thank you! I used Microsoft Word to create the doc, then converted it to a PDF. It works pretty slick. :)

Re: INDEX/MATCH not working for some values
@jjg279 You could try checking the numbers you are entering with the barcode scanner. I think I ran into issues with them coming through as a string, '123445, instead of whatever number. Maybe that is throwing off your Index/match. You could try a helper column with the VALUE() function to turn them into numbers.
Re: Portfolio Updates to Leadership
Excellent!
Happy to help!
I sometimes set it up with an automated alert or together with an attached PDF using the Document Builder feature.
Make sense?

Re: Asset Management - Due in 7 Days not working
Hi @mclyburn5
You are correct, this formula
=COUNTIF({Sheet - Asset Management Sheet Range 2}, TODAY(7))
will count the rows where the date in "Sheet - Asset Management Sheet Range 2" is equal to Today's date plus 7 days.
To count rows where the date is before or on the date in 7 day's time you need to use a less than and equals sign like this (in bold):
=COUNTIF({Sheet - Asset Management Sheet Range 2}, <= TODAY(7))
(don't copy this as the comments format the < and = as an arrow - type it in)
