Re: Difference between managed and unmanaged resource in Resource management
- Project Managers → Full licensed users
- Team Members tracked for capacity → Managed resources
- Vendors/placeholders or minimal involvement → Unmanaged resources
- Great question — and you're not alone in asking it! Here's a clear explanation of the added value you get when you upgrade someone from an Unmanaged Resource to a Managed Resource in Smartsheet Resource Management:

Thanks to all who attended Smartsheet Gov Forum!
Thanks to all who came out to learn, share, and network at the second annual Smartsheet Gov Forum last week!
All attendees will receive a Gov Forum Attendee badge which will be showcased on your profile. Haven't received yours? Sign in to Community here and select "Request".
We had a great lineup of speakers and sessions, including Smartsheet experts as well as customers across all levels of government sharing their best practices and learnings. Attendees dove into sessions from dawn to dusk, picking up tips and tricks for how to get things done quickly and effectively in the government space. We also heard from Smartsheet leadership about forthcoming features to both the Smartsheet Gov and Smartsheet commercial platforms.
What a joy to see so many customers and users in person — looking forward to the next time we can get together!

Re: Update Smartsheet table with data from SQL DB
There's not great off the shelf way to do this. Also, you'll have to ensure you don't exceed any sheet limits on the amount of cells you can bring in.
Are you trying to keep the data in sync with the SQL database or just a one time import?
If you need to keep it in sync, you'll need a bridge between the SQL data base and Smartsheet.
If a one time import you can export the SQL data in CSV and import into a new sheet, or if you have Data Shuttle into an existing sheet. If you don't have Data Shuttle and want to import into an existing sheet, then you'll either need bring it in over the API or use an extension like this :

Re: How do I update a status based on 3 different approvals.
I had a typo, it is working now. Thank you for the assistance.
Re: Function() or @argument for "currently logged in user" for use in Sheet formulas
This seems like a great idea!

Re: What view are you? Share your story and claim your badge
My mother use to laugh at my jokes and say "Michael is such a card!"
I don't like the Gantt view. I gantt do this, I gantt do that! I personally try to have a more positive. perspective.
Don't get board yet, my jokes only get more Grid-dy.
Sorry for my "dad jokes". Let's table this for now!
so yes, I'm a card. :-)

Re: Introduce yourself & get to know your peers!
Hi y'all!
I'm Andrew, also go by Drew. I work in training and development and have really come to take advantage of all the offerings from Smartsheet in the last year as I switched work projects. I would have to say Dashboards are my favorite function because it helps you really gain a visual understanding of your forms and reports.
I am based out of Southern California and am in fact a Disneyland lover. In my role I have the luxury of working remote with my project based out of the east coast, so I get to have the majority of the afternoon off which allows for easy trips after work.
