In one sentence - How would you explain Smartsheet to a newbie?
It's an efficiency and solution provider to your problems.

Re: March Question of the Month - Join the conversation and receive a badge
I would LOVE the skill to balance all the variables needed to improve my health. Between being a single parent, working a full-time job, having a teenager in HS with 1 foot out the door to college, the financial cost for medical/dental to know exact diagnosis or what to work on, cost to buy healthy food, time to exercise, time to go to medical appointments, time to cook, even time that passes as I age and my family as a priority (always ensuring my son's health and wellness is in line before mine), it's hard to find that balance to live a healthier life.

My one skill, making it Smartsheet related, is in the competency of setting up Control Center. I'll be chasing that certification here soon and I'm looking forward to being on the other side of the exam!

One skill that I would love to be able to improve would be my singing and musical ability. When I was younger, I used to be in a band and noodle around on the guitar and piano. Back then, I was more interested in writing lyrics and doing vocals so that's what I focused on. Now that I'm older, I'd like to see if I could actually become proficient in an instrument.
I've always envied people who have natural musical talent, as it's such a joy to listen to, and is reflective of their hard work and honing their skills and craft. I have a major life milestone potentially coming up but after that, I should look at reprioritizing some things and think about maybe picking guitar back up. (I'll still sing in the shower, so at least I have that going for me 😅 )
Re: Trying to Create Lookup Form
Thank you, @kowal I had a feeling that was the answer. I think what I actually need is the modern equivalent of Microsoft Access. I'm going to poke around our Microsoft 365 tools and see if I can use that for the lookup tool and link them to my Smartsheet Dashboards.
Thank you for your quick response!
Re: COUNTIFS with dates
Instead of DATE, use the TODAY function for today's date
TODAY(28) will return today's date plus 28 days.
=COUNTIFS({Smartsheet Range 1}, "Project type 1", {Smartsheet Range 2}, <=(TODAY(28)))
For bonus points, I noticed that your formula will include all projects of the correct type that start before or on the date 4 weeks from today which will include those starting before today. If you only want those starting within the next 4 weeks you will need to add another criteria to the COUNTIFS to only include those that start today or later. That would look like this:
=COUNTIFS({Smartsheet Range 1}, "Project type 1", {Smartsheet Range 2}, <=(TODAY(28)),{Smartsheet Range 2},>=TODAY())
Hope this helps.
Re: Is it possible to assign tasks to a group that will automatically identify individual resources?
hi @kowal,
Yes, I'm familiar with index/match. I was thinking of the same thing. I'lltry to set this up and check. Thank you.
